The wide, dusty frontier of Westfall is one of my favorite classic WoW zones. In looking to create a prop that would fit into a run-down old saloon, I thought of the trusty player piano. It would sit perfectly at home in a place where the furniture bears the battle-scars of bar brawls and the staff don't dare water down the whiskey. This battered old pianola could plunk out its tune while Defias highwaymen gather around a deck of cards, plot their schemes, and toast their victories.
The King may rule in a game of cards, but every red-masked desperado knows the Queen of Spades will be taking the final trick. Long live the Brotherhood, and long live Vanessa VanCleef!

I'm very excited to share this project from my CGMA class with Ashleigh Warner. I created this prop over the course of one week as our final "Art Test" project, and I wanted to explore combining storytelling from WoW lore with classic set-pieces from the Western genre.
